Why Donate Your Car To W4H?
Save Money - Get the best tax advantage. If your donated car is placed as a program car, you can claim the full retail value of the vehicle as a tax deduction. If not, where possible, we repair your car and sell it on our retail lot (generating the best value for your tax deduction) and use 100% of the proceeds to support our program. Those cars out of our geographic area or those we are unable to repair are sold through our partnership with Vehicles for Charity with an average of 80% of the gross sales price supporting the work of Wheels4Hope.
It's Easy - We take care of all the paperwork. It's a win/win for you and for our community.
Feel Good - Recycle your car. Give it a new life. Provide affordable transportation to low-wage earners in our community.
Take Satisfaction In Giving A Hand Up - We partner with community agencies that promote self-sufficiency and refer applicants who are ready for the financial responsibility of owning and maintaining a car. R eliable transportation is critical to anyone seeking to find or keep a job and for parents with dependent children.
"Why I have donated cars to Wheels4Hope"
"We donated our first car to Wheels4Hope in 2004. We were so pleased with the program that we have donated two more since then and we plan to donate every car we buy to this excellent nonprofit."
"We have the satisfaction of knowing that the cars we donate to Wheels4Hope will be put to good use by a family or individual who is trying hard to get ahead. The tax deduction is a nice benefit too. This way we can take a higher deduction for our car donation than if we donated it to a charity that does not have transportation as its core mission."
"The bottom line is we've seen far too many low-income people struggle to buy a car for too much money only to have it break down, leaving them with costly repair bills that they cannot afford. We know that Wheels4Hope sells cars in good, reliable condition to well-screened recipients that will be able to afford to maintain them. These cars are oftentimes their key to building a whole new life!" - Deb Christie
